Okay, so I have another absolute favorite place when visiting the Smoky Mountains. There is a place in the center of town called The Island. No, it is not surrounded by water (although there is an amazing water fountain display that performs to the music playing!) However, it is surrounded by AWESOME shops, food, and fun!
The Island is a popular destination, especially during holidays and weekends. Be prepared for crowds, and consider visiting during off-peak hours if you prefer a quieter experience.
Things to do at The Island
- Great Smoky Mountain Wheel: This iconic Ferris wheel stands 200 feet tall and offers stunning panoramic views of the Great Smoky Mountains. It’s especially beautiful during sunset.
