Be a Piece of Our IVF Story for Baby Russell

If you’ve been here for awhile, you know that we have been on a 2 year journey towards having sweet Baby Russell join our family. (If you want to catch up, you can read more here.) After 4 losses and 2 rounds of IVF, we were left equal parts heartbroken and frustrated after our loss in April. We had paid for all of the additional testing for our embryos to ensure they were healthy and we had the very best chances in a successful, full term pregnancy… but unfortunately, that baby did not make it earth side, either.

Next Steps

After taking the summer off to mentally and physically heal, we are ready to try again for what we so badly want- to grow our family. I just had this deep gut feeling that they were missing something- if I was perfectly healthy, and the embryo was perfectly healthy, why did I miscarry? So, we recently started searching for a second opinion. After several labs, we FINALLY have another answer that I believe is a huge breakthrough and knowing what we know now should immensely help guide us through our next steps!

We are looking to start another round of IVF, but 3 rounds in a year is tough, financially. Just to give a general idea of the cost:

  • Labs, ultrasounds, tests prior to starting: $~3000
  • IVF/Frozen Embryo Transfer/PGT-A Testing: $21,175
  • PGT-SR testing: $225
  • Medications: $~6000

It isn’t easy, but we would do anything for our family. We are going to be hosting a puzzle fundraiser to help offset the cost for this third round, as we are still paying off the other two.

To Buy a Piece of our Puzzle:

We have purchased a 500 piece puzzle, and are “selling” each piece for $10. You can purchase as many pieces as you’d like, and your name will be placed on the back of those pieces. Once complete, the puzzle will be hung in Baby Russell’s nursery. ❤️

To keep it organized, we are going to link it to a GoFundMe account.
