Can we talk about the Queen of the world, the Elvis of our time, the GENIUS Taylor Swift? My goodness, she is seriously so inspirational. I’ll never understand how people can bash her. She is so driven and monetizes off of it because she built a career that she truly enjoys and thrives at? GOOD FOR HER!!! After several years without being about to tour, she dropped The Eras Tour bomb on us- She was going to travel back in time and show us all the reasons we have fallen in love with her and her music!
Getting Tickets to see Taylor Swift
I remember when she announced that she was finally going back on tour and I could not wait to get my hands on tickets!! I was a verified fan, and I sat in planning with my other teacher friends and joined the queue. I was in line for hours! All of my Dallas friends snagged tickets, and when I put mine in the cart, gone. The same pattern happened several times before I was kicked and they were gone. I was so sad that I didn’t get them, but I was sure I’d get some the next day when they opened to the general public. Jokes on me- Ticketmaster was not able to release any more.
I was part of so many Taylor Swift fan sites, and watched online religiously waiting for someone to sell theirs or more to drop. When the tour started and the rumors started flying that tickets were released a week prior, I was hopeful again! I got a code for the Dallas location, but at that point I was unable to go because we scheduled a vacation before I knew about the second drop.
I was verified for Dallas, but not Pittsburgh; which is very close to our hometown. A week before the concert, my best friends little sister was able to get a code and scored us 4 great seats! I got to go see my favorite artist, with my 3 best friends and it was the most incredible night.

The Concert
We got ready at my house, then drove up to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania which is about an hour and a half away. We got up there around 4, and parked in the North Shore garage and walked about 10 minutes to the venue.
The outfits, the people, the atmosphere- INCREDIBLE. Everyone was so committed to outfits, trading bracelets, taking pictures of each others, and just living their best lives.
The merchandise outside of the stadium opened at 10am, so I was hoping they would be a little less crazy, but they were wrapped down the block. The inside lines were also very long, but honestly went pretty fast! We skipped the ones when you first enter and went up a level where the line was shorter and waited about 20 minutes. I got a t shirt and the quarter zip, but I was still hoping for the blue infamous crewneck! I ended up running out for a quick bathroom break about 2/3 through the show and the stand nearby happened to have 1 medium left, so I lucked out!
As far as the actual performance goes, I am still pretty speechless. Taylor puts on one heck of a show!!! She’s already a lyrical genius, but the outfits, the dancing, the vocals… for 3 hours straight?! I am so amazed by her. We had these really cool bracelets that flashed with the music and gave the flashlight/firefly effect all night and it looked so neat!
Spoiler Alert: The Setlist. Taylor sings over 40 songs for a little over 3 hours- and she is INCREDIBLE and so engaged the entire time! I wont share the exact songs (although you can easily find playlists on both Spotify and Apple Music😉) but I’ll give a hint of the albums order!

After the concert we were low enough to exit the stadium pretty quickly (I was NOT leaving early to avoid the traffic jam- she was worth it!) and walked back to our car. We sat in traffic in the garage for about 15 mins, then hit a bit of a backup right in Pittsburgh, but other than that, we had a great experience!! Especially since she broke the all time attendance record for the stadium 😉
I can’t say enough how mesmerized I was by her performance and her talent, but she also made a very generous donation to a local food bank and brought millions of dollars into the economy, which was needed. I’ve also heard a lot of people who have never been had fallen in love with the city- we love to hear it!!
What to Wear to The Eras Tour
The outfits were one of my favorite parts of the concert! Everyone looked incredible. There were clever t-shirts, recreations of music video outfits, tour outfit replicas, and more glitter and sparkles than a cheer competition! (my favorite😜) A quick search on instagram, TikTok, or LTK will give a glimpse of the amazing outfits worn- and I have mine, along with my other options, linked over on my LTK page!
